The Old Roan Magazine
The Association produces a Magazine for its members once a year. It's been published in more or less the same format, beginning as a magazine for the Roan Boys School, since a first issue in March 1912.

The creation of an Old Boys Association for the Boys School in 1911 was covered in that first Magazine and news, views and features about its activities - from annual dinners to sports and amateur dramatics to reunions - continued thereafter.

An Old Girls Association for the Girls School was established earlier in 1894 and over the years the Magazine included some coverage of their activities. The associations merged at the same time as the two schools amalgamated in 1980. The Girls School also produced magazines over the years and copies of the 1970s issues can be viewed as below.

The last Magazine produced by the Boys School was the November 1975 issue and this paved the way for the Association (Boys) to start producing the Old Roan Chronicle which ran until 2000. Between 1982 and 1991, a shorter Old Roan Newsletter was also produced
The Roan Magazine title took over from 2003 and the publication became the Old Roan Magazine from March 2015.

Today, the Magazine is produced in full colour and distributed to Old Roans - girls and boys - at home and across the world.​​​
